The International DUBLIN Literary Award

The Award is an initiative of Dublin City Council the municipal government of Dublin which now retains full ownership of the award. The Award aims to promote excellence in world literature. Nominations are submitted by library systems in major cities throughout the world. The award is now in its 21st year. The Lord Mayor of Dublin is Patron of the Award.

Roger's 2014 novel Notes from Underground has been nominated amongst 160 others to receive the award. This longlist was published on Monday 10th November. The full list of nominations, voted for by public libraries can be on the website. The titles are nominated on a basis of ‘high literary merit’. The shortlist will be announced in April of next year (2016). The judging panel of 6, will decide the winner of the €100,000 prize fund!
